The Official Rocket Across America IV Thread

Hell, The keys would be a long ride for me too.. but it would be great to do it after daytona.
Whomever wanted to could go to daytona, the down to the keys, if anyone didn't want to go to daytona, they could go straight to the keys...
It would make a great fall trip, perfect weather down there as long as there are no hurricanes. Hurricanes suck.
But, short of bad weather, it'd be great... and not as much tourism down there in the fall compared to spring...
But, maybe I'm being selfish, ever since my last trip, I've been wanting to go back

If I could get everyone to chip in to buy me a Russell Day Long I would love it. Been to bike week three times and once to Biktoberfest. Thought every time I was going to make the Keys but ran out of clock.
I am in a "Not for Profit" Household, wasn't intended , just worked out that way:eek:

The only problem for me is that when I go to a bike week it is usually the time I spend with my bro and his family. We were in the Corps together and until a couple of years ago, had no contact. Now I head down there for the bike weeks and he comes up here for Labor day which is also my birthday. It would be cool to have a meet then the Keys run for those wanting to go instead of hanging around Daytona or Rossmeyer's Poser Palace.

Alrighty...
My dad decided he didn't want to take the RV or his wife :p.
So, we're gonna be staying at the hotel with the rest of y'all.
If anyone is riding up through atlanta, let me know.
I'm on exit 212 on I-75. Right off the interstate if anyone wants to meet up there and ride up there together.

JDuke, I am of off exit 108 on I85. I am happy to ride up with you. Let me know if that works for you.

friday

My wife and I are arriving early afternoon friday we plan to host a meet and eat. I have arranged for use of the grills and picnic area for a cookout and will with burgers, dogs, and brats. Donations will be excepted to help cover the cost but not required.

There are a few scenic pull off on the hellbender so it is not a bust. the dragon has a pull off as you enter and end,

BTW I have arranged the bon fire for friday also.

I know there have been a lot of dicussions about routes and good suggestions I plan on updating the proposed agenda I posted for review. So any additional feed back or daily mileage suggestions would be great I will try to incorporate. I am not apposed to putting together 2 routes with lunch stops to address everyones needs. with the whole group getting together in the evening.
