Anybody knows what is the size of the drain plug bolt is for the Bevel gear box final drive for 2005 rocket standard?

My dealer doesn’t have them and I’m thinking about just running to the hardware store and get one, I know the original one is magnetic but the standard one will do it for short time.

I asked the dealer but they dont know .. very funny huh

Thanks in advance

Aren't those plugs prone to breaking? Isn't there some special way to prevent ruining them?

I had some made from A2 st/st and using an 'O' ring seal plus a much stronger magnet. Made to not shear-off at a stupidly low torque setting (15Nm = 11lb/ft) like the Triumph version. I have a few spares but don't know if its viable to send over-seas.

Edit: Thread is M10 x 1.5

Thanks for all the replies, the reason i was asking was i sheered the bolt off when i was trying to take the plug off so i couldnt find out what is the size and i had to go for a ride as is or if i took it off i wont be able to go (the wearther was so good .. :) )

but today i took it off and it was as Battersea mentioned M10 X 1.5 and because the dealer going to take like a year to get it here i ran to the hardware stor and i got a regulare M10X1.5 and i put two copper washers for now because i have to go tomorrow for another beautiful ride again :))

That's the rub, if they are overtightened when being fitted but stay intact, its likely to be the next person that is removing it who will carry the can for snapping it. :(

A YEAR, you are joking of course. I could send you one over, they cost me £15 and there will be some postage - let me know.
