Have had no problems with scangauge and as GPMAZ says it does a lot more...read codes, clear codes and the entire OBD data list (plus others that you can manually key in). The only drawback is the relatively slow (2sec) update rate,,,which is no issue on something like the temp. The tach is a little annoying, but I've grown used to it and since it is not on a high-revving sport bike its not really a prob either.

Actually I've found the temp gauge quite useful. If your temp is rising faster than the 2 sec refresh something is very wrong. I only use the tach to let me know if I'm in 5th gear, counting never was my strong suit.

What I said...

Yeh, agreed....as I said the temp update is just fine and the tach as you said is not an issue, cause I, like you only use it to let me know what gear I'm in:D Now that I have an accurate IAT I keep that up on the display also.

I've a chance ta get one (unused) from another guy, but would I be able ta fit it ?? I ain't that adept with wiring-- any one able ta put a diagram on I'd be very grateful.

The scangauge is super easy. Pull the seat and you will find the 16 pin OBD connector. Simply plug the scangauge in and route the lead up under the tank. I made a mount for it on the handlebar, but lots of folks just use the Velcro stickys.

I am curious how you deal with this using power constantly?

Yea,,,sorry I forgot that part. I changed #16 pin from B+ power to switched ignition. Not really much of an issue since it is right beside the fuse box. Otherwise you would have to deal with either turning it off each key cycle or unplugging it. I have to say tho, that I have had no issues with it and it has even gotten wet a few times. If I know I'm gonna hit rain I usually pull it off and stow it in the bag.

Thanks for your response.
Any way you can explain or show me more?
I am an electrical dunce.
I don't know what a #16 pin or B+ power is.
