In a few hours I will begin teaching my wife how to ride.
This is the last bike I rode before I bought the Rocket. The last time was around 1980.
I gave it to a friend that wanted to get it running again and teach his grand kids.
He let me borrow it as long as I need it. Next month I will put my wife in one of those professional classes. I want her to be ready before then.
My patients bought it new in 1978. Riding it again brought back memories. D^mn thing felt so big back then.
Although getting them over the hurdles of dropping a bike is important you don't want to scare her so much that she gives up!!!! Not that it matters as I think she is hooked on riding events now that she has experienced us hooligans

I taught Ann on a nice big Unmowed Soccer oval not far from home so when the inevitable fall came it was a soft and only after she was stable and able to handle the little bike on the longish grass did we venture out on the road
Wouldn't it be wiser to let her take the course first and get enraged with them and then you can come along after and save the day? Instead of winding up on the couch if things don't go as planned.
