Hi all,

I just installed the Triumph clock and fuel gauge. Fuel gauge is working - other than being completely inaccurate. However, the clock and tach have decided to stop functioning. The clock and tach still illuminate but the hands on the clock don't move and the 2 buttons don't work. The hand on the tach also doesn't move and the highbeam, neutral, and turn signal lights no longer function. Connections seems fine and I never messed with the Tach connection under the fuel tank. Might be a fuse issue but there is no specific fuse for these problems and I would expect more systems to have failed had a fuse blown. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Sounds like a fuze to me.

you may also want to disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds and see if that helps.

Sometimes they go wonky when installing or removing add-ons.

Seem to remember this is how I fixed Navigator's gauges once.

You don't have a ground. The manual page 18.23 for the lighting cicuit shows the instrument cluster. The instrument lights are on a seperate circuit from the gauges. So the lights can work fine and the instruments are dead. The silly looking triangles are diodes (in most cases). The arrows show the biasing so the warning lights diode goes to ground and is the ground point for the rest of the instrument cluster. At least that's what it looks like in my manual.

The clock should be on it's own ground. Check the full color schematic in the manual. If you need help reading it let me know.
