Yeah Kevin, the 'stud' should actually be 'stupid' .;):roll::roll:
I wrote off another car, a 2004 AWD Diamante (Magna) sedan a few weeks ago. No trailer this time but hit a big roo 80km west of Hay about 600 km from Canberra at 4.00am on my way back from NT for another load.
Sadly this one only had 130,000 km from new and just 8000km on new springs and shocks. Scrunched the hood, took out right light and power steering pump. I hit it at about 90kmh and kept driving after the impact as with no mobile coverage I wanted to get as close to Hay before it died. After 15-20 km it starting smoking from steering fluid on exhaust so stopped and checked damage. Radiator subframe all pushed back into engine and pulleys belts jammed but radiator still sealed. So I hopped along for 3-5 km until it got hot then stopped for 20 mins and got into Hay just after dawn.

Some peoples' blood is worth bottling!
Rang a lifelong mate who drove from Sydney picking up a car trailer on the way and arrived at 8pm so we got to Canberra at 3.00am. Up at 7am to unload car so he could drop off trailer and drive 350km back to Sydney for a medical appt.
Needless to say long term relationships are built on history and mutual support.
I spent a few days in Sydney last week moving furniture from his Mum's last home to get it on the market.
