super chargers

You can get it here for $1,000 less.. I know several people on here have one. I sure wish I could go that route!.. There's also a link to installation instructions at NewR3.com..

A little spooked.

I just sealed a deal with Art at Carpenter Racing for a used super charger! Now, I got to get the cohones to install it myself as I, one, don't have the extra funds to afford it (especially with my med bills) and, two, certainly can't afford to pay someone to install it. MB just sent me an e-mail from notes she took at my last therapist session that made up my mind for me to buy the SC. (If MBV hadn't written it down I wouldn't have remembered. She's such a peach.) I will of course, cover it from my personal finances but I'm sure MB wouldn't care. She only wants me to be happy.

This is what my therapist said in my last session: (From MB's notes)

"Acceptance is when you believe you can have a life worth living, despite your ****ty circumstances.

Think of what you MIGHT want to do. Then do it, whether you want to or not. If you wait until you feel like it, you’ll never do anything. It’s like putting gas in your car…you don’t really want to do it but you know you have to."

He's a pretty smart cookie.

This made up my mind to super charge the Rocket. I really need something to offset the less than favorable side effects from radiation and chemo that I am having to learn to accept. Also, I've been eating like a horse but still losing weight. (Down to 175 now... another 10 pounds from 245) Kind'a scary. All I know is, I'm wasting away. I will be going to a nutritionalist tomorrow to try turn things around. Also, will be going to a new psychiatrist (mainly for meds). You'd think that with the battery of doctors and medical personnel, they'd be able to fix me. The count is up to around ten doctors and therapists at last count. All my britches just fall off. Belts have to have new holes punched in them. Because of all the above, I'd better go ahead with the super charge the old Rocket because we don't know about tomorrow.

Everybody says SC installation isn't as difficult as the instructions appear. Truth be told, I'm more afraid of the tune (in the ECU) than the mechanical part. Hope I get it together before RAAVII! (Rockets Across America meetup at Tail of the Dragon.) Also, still planning on taking off several weeks to tour the Smokies, Apalachians and east coast. Hope I don't screw somethin up too bad when installing the SC!!!!

Get info straight from the source, speak to Richard he will sort you out.
Personally I would advise to tune naturally aspirated via Carpenter or Neville Lush Racing, rather than super charge.

I had been negotiating with Art on that same supercharger for about two months. Almost bought it before you but...I had doubts: no pix. No list on parts (if anything missing then it's NOT a deal), used (HOW used???). Damages (???) Too many unanswered questions so I took a pass on your unit. I hope you get everything promised. I just did not want to lay out $3,500 for unseen, possibly incomplete merchandise. But I like Art, he'll do his best to make it right!

Besides: the most important reason I dodged this SC is I need some large dinero for a champion bred pup I need for my breeding program. We're talking over three large! No more toys for awhile

Hey Mate....hang in there and keep battling on with the chemo and radio...is the worst well to be at the bottom of but farkkkk.....it is so worth it when you climb to the top. My thoughts are with you brother.

Thanks to everybody for the well wishes and help on finding a super charger. Can't wait for RAAVII.

I agree on the risk. Seems like I'd learn since my previous experience with a used turbo at Wayne Tripps that was junk. Wayne made it right. I trust Art, too.

Good luck on the breeding.
