Suitable lift

I use a 1500 pound lift from Harbor Freight. I caught it on sale for $70

The support rails on this type need any modification as the frame sits higher than the engine. I was looking at this type that has adjustable cradles.

Unless your taking the sump off lift from the engine

I've never had any issues with it.

Was unsure wether the bottom of the engine was a suitable lifting point.

If you click the link in my signature you will find instructions for making a cheap paddock stand. There are also instructions for making a bracket which should work with just about any ATV lift.
