stripped header stud

Apaprently I cranked on the header studs one too many times with my Jardines,,, the stud ended up giving up and stippign out..

I went to local auto store and bought a heli coil kit (really easy to use btw) and repaired the hole, reinserted a new stud..and as the folks accross the pond say Bob's your uncle ( what te ehell does that mean anyway?)


bottom line, becareful with the studs, but if you do tweak one, just go get a helicoil kit
 
funny you say that, I have a habit of breaking stuff,,, anytime somethign needs pried open or something,,, my wife always cautions me not to break it.. I've returned stuff on more then one occaision where they have said.."wow, um we've never had anyone break that before"

so did you get your bike running? Or do I need to come over there and fix it?
I went for a run around the area tonight
down Washington to Hooters and back up to my place near columbia road

didn't see anyone to terrorize....so called t an early night

It means Robert is your fathers brother.............. duhhh

Meaning
Used to describe the means of obtaining a successful result. For example, 'left over right; right over left, and bob's your uncle - a reef knot'.

Origin
Eric Partridge lists it in his Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English , 1937. He gives it the meaning 'all will be well', which is not quite how it is used now. Partridge states it as dating from circa 1890, although he presents no evidence for that. Also he suggests that it may be derived from the phrase 'all is bob', which meant 'all is well'.

Anyway - good result on the exhaust stud :lol:
Did you torque it cold?
