Sport Screen Installation Rocket 3 R

Hi there, I know this might sound like a silly question—I’m aware of that… but I’d rather ask. I’ve installed the official Triumph sport screen on my Rocket 3 R. The thing is, I’ve noticed that the edges seem a bit worn. Does the screen come with a transparent protective film that needs to be removed? Before I start scratching at a corner, I wanted to ask since I imagine someone else has already installed it. Thanks a lot!!
