Speedo & tach wonky

So an issue popped up yesterday, then went away today. Speedo starts at about 35mph, tach idles about 2500. the bike is idling/running proper, just the gauges are off. Anyone ever experience this? Possibly related to a sporadically faulty kickstand sensor? Also happening occasionally, turn signals working but indicator on the tach not so much? Or more likely all not related? Anyone else see stuff like this? we're talking a mostly stock 04 rocket....thanks

Sounds like a loose or corroded connector under the tank to me - worth a check anyway
