Hi, another question...
Whe I am riding at lower gears and speed, there are some (for the lack of a better term) "clucking sounds. I used to have a R3T, and while similar, they are really 2 different beasts. The question is: is it normal to be hearing clucking going on? I bought this bike used, so I'm a bit nervous over any sound or feel that doesn't necessarily math up with my previous experience with a R3t.

OK

On a more helpful note where can you here the sound coming from on the bike? is the engine modded (triple K&N's) or similar? could be the chirping crickets?

If its coming from the back, I know when I'm crawling through traffic, on and off the clutch, I sometimes get a bit of knocking from the drive-shaft, wouldn't call it clucking though.

My R3T has had a strange noise since new at low speed ,it sounds like a clutch basket rattle, the "experts" at the Triumph dealer has at first gone deaf "cannot hear a thing mate" then it was normal? for these bikes, now I only hear it if I have my Shorty helmet on, nothing has fallen off or come out the side of the crankcase yet, and it survived a few runs on the Dyno up to 6500rpm,I normally only keep my bikes for 2/3 years but love the Touring and will hang on to it a bit longer to see what Mr triumph comes up with to replace the Touring, they can keep their Thunderbird Touring model.

I'm guessing gear lash. Does it happen when accelerating?

Clunking when you shift, yes. At other times, I don't think so.
