Sissy Bar Luggage

Hey there Yogi
I have a solo seat on my bike and very much enjoy riding 1 up, and for that reason i would'nt put any weight up there.
Pannier bags are the way to go.. Keep the weight down low if you have to carry it.

I used a nice low profile karyakin bag when I had the "bagger" setup in place. Don't know the availability in the UK. I can't remember the price either. It's a fairly rigid bag with multiple compartments. The top zippered "Glove box" is nice for......gloves, wallet, ect.

how often do you plan on using it?
a good back pack will strap right on to it no problem.

pick up a water resistant one from a surplus store or camping store and your good.

I had noticed britman's softbags after chatting with him on an unrelated thread over on the .net site and then referencing his photo album over there. He forwarded this link to me as the source for the Cortech soft sadddlebags he uses and likes. I am looking into them myself as an alternative to hard saddlebags, which I only would be using on occasion.

As for everyday riding, the Kuryakyn Tombstone bag was pretty much always between my driver's backrest and sissybar pad on my VTX 1800s as it will be on my Mulberry Mistress. It also serves as a great ancillary (and higher) backrest than the one. I also have Kuryakyn's "Full Dresser" bag, which I believe to be the best large sissybar bag available:

Thanks all for the info.
As will only be using it for a couple of week long trips and the odd weekend will keep my eye on e-bay.
Like the 1 highlighted by BigDoug.
