Well I signed my first book, "Lessons in Lunacy" this morning at 0940. A co-worker e-mailed me and wanted me to sign her copy she received last night. So I signed it this morning. That should mean the books are being sent out, which is confusing since they gave me a 6/4/11 release date. On the other hand they are also going to Book Expo America in NYC, Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, and American Library Association Annual Conference in New Orleans to promote their books (with the intention of selling thousands of books at a time).

At any rate (my confusion not withstanding), books that anyone has ordered should be showing up pretty quick. :)

Note: If you haven't ordered it I can't sign it. (If you live in Australia I can't sign it even if you buy it, bummer (unless you want to spring for a ticket to Oz:D)).

If you have a copy and want to meet me in Cassoday to sign it, let me know. I'm planning on going May 1.

Yes, congratulations. I have been struggling to write a screenplay for months -- my first writing endeavor. What is your book about?

Whats the book about?

It's about the trials and tribulations of reclaiming old bikes, working on my Rocket, and the general lunacy that is motorcycling. It's written with a bit of humor so as not to be boring and covers topics from rebuilding a 1972 Suzuki Titan to the 2009 Run For the Wall. It includes a tool guide to help everyone interested in DIY.:D

Why do us OZZIES miss out?

Why do us OZZIES miss out?

Why DID is the question as it was 6 years ago. ;):D But probably because of the arcane publishing laws in Australia where foreign published and printed books are not allowed to be supplied if they have an Australian publishing house version that must be purchased instead at usually twice the price to supposedly 'Protect' Australian authors and publishers:(:banghead:. This is largely all sidelined now by online purchases via Amazon books etc but he may not have wanted to upset the applecart at the time. You are still unlikely to get a signed version unless secondhand but why a signed copy by an obscure now twice published author would matter is beyond me.

Someone is always kidding themselves US$97 for a used copy when dozens of new ones are US$27 ;):D
