signal problems?

Hi guys,
Just install the clear indicator/signal light lenses and amber bulb kit from Newr3. That's all that was done is a straight swap of parts and now the lights do not work. When I move switch to either left or right position the indicator relay now buzzers like crazy. I reinstalled the old bulbs and its still doing the same thing now? I checked the current draw on the old bulbs as they are a lot smaller than the new amber ones. I recorded 0.65amps and they are marked as 10watts. I then tested the new bulbs marked as #1157 and they burn 2.0amps, so they have to be around 25 to 30watts each.
Do you think I have fried the relay or something else

Anyone had this problem? cheers Guys
 
Don't know why it should fry the relay, I fitted this kit from New R3 some months ago & had no problem. However I do have a different relay fitted which auto cancels the flasher so maybe this is why, but I still think you will be ok, try another relay probably welded contacts & would have gone soon anyway.
 
I fitted the same lenses/bulbs as a straight swap with no problems whatsoever. Sorry, can't help.
 
I don't know if this could cause that problem, but when I put the clear lenses and amber bulbs on my America, I managed to put the side contact through the back of the socket where it touched the other contact and continually blew fuses. Took forever to find it. Tried other relays and everything. People kept telling me, "Relays don't usually fail."

Okay as others have no problems I will get back looking at this with my meter to find issue.
I have a new self cancelling Kisan signal Minder ready to install, as with any trouble shoting I get worried moving too far ahead until I cure the first problem. As its winter here in the great white north I am in the middle of several projects including Flips beautiful Radiator S/S insert, new rear number plate holder, key switch relocation and triple K&N (5 filters really) install. Any other ideas you chaps may have will be gratetfully excepted
 
I have the same problem with the clear lens kit, I instaled the amber bulbs left the lens off to make sure they work,The left side worked, the right side front worked but the right rear did not work then the relay started making noise and 15amp fuses started blowing I then took apart the rr singal and noticed that the inboard screw is a ground screw I have another realy from a auto supply I will install this weekend with the ground screw in the rr singal,It seams like the previous posters instaled the kit all buttoned up with lenes instaled,I hope this gets the signals working cant ride without them

I plugged in the new Kisan unit and the 15amp fuse blowed right away (hope i have not damaged this new $100 part) I put the old relay back and a new fuse and relay still buzz's but does not blow fuse?
Something is strange here, I am going the meter each indicator light circuit where they join into the harness. I still wonder why the new bulbs are so high rated compare to the factory one's?
 
Just tested each line to the 4 indicator lights, 3 of the 4 have now got a dead short with original bulbs in or out. Not sure how this happened as the replacement bulbs looked the same on the barrel side (only the glass was bigger)
Bike has never been driven in rain and everything still looks like new inside?
help!!!!
