@phar2slo I know one rider who has not speeded. As a matter of fact when I lead a ride with him, I tend to find roads with a speed limit no more than 45 to 50 mph as he refuses to ride faster than 55mph ever. He proudly claims to be accident and ticket free and will remain than way till he can no longer ride. His 2004 Softtail looks brand new with its 3,500 miles on it...

@Steel, I love you brother for being the scariest looking fellow around, yet with the biggest heart. I'm sure I too would consider you my first threat when arriving on a scene in this way and not knowing you as a brother.
I do want to correct one thing in your last post though; "Gung Ho" does not mean what you think it does. The short story is, the first Marine Raiders (forefathers to USMC Recon) were penned down with the Chinese when the Japanese began to over run them in WWII. The Marine/Chinese team were outnumbered by close to 10:1 with no chance of reinforcements. As the Japanese attacked, one Chinese officer arose from the trenches with sword drawn and ran the length of his troops yelling "Gung Ho". The Chinese forces took up the cry and together with the Raiders, pushed the attack back and won the day. The Marine Colonel asked the Chinese General what Gung Ho meant. Simply put, it means "to work together". The Colonel used that as their slogan from then on as they were always outnumbered and out gunned. Soon it spread throughout the entire corps. The raiders also adding the word "Chow" to our vernacular, but that is for another time.
As for the speeder, he is reaping his reward now. I recently spoke with an errant young enthusiast myself for his actions causing many other commuters to become somewhat irate at his antics. I did learn from past issues and neglected to mention to Pretty Pillion that I had done so as she would have been irate at me.
And on the flip side of the correction rule, while I was on this past two weeks road trip with work, I parked the bike in front of the hotel door in a small nook. Being that the R3T is as long as it is, I park Brahma diagonal. An R1200GS fellow spoke with me about that saying that two bikes could fit there if only I would park mine straight in. I told him mine would stick out too far and block the sidewalk and a piece of the drive. He walked away in a small huff. The last night of my stay had me arriving back late. He and another R1200GS were both parked their on their center stands as they would not have fit if they were leaning on their kick stands. Maybe I was being a selfish jerk, but then again, I carried my cover and parked in a stall without crying about it...
