I feel your pain, brother! I've been diagnosed with a complex tear of my left meniscus. Can't bear any weight on my left leg, so I can't ride. Surgery is scheduled for week of May 5. At least the rehab is relatively short - about 4-6 weeks, after which I will be able to ride without limitation. Since we have a 12 month riding season here - it's just a setback, but I haven't ridden in about a month and I'm really itchy!
Good luck on the surgery.

...and like I discussed with my wife, If I were to loose an arm or something happened to one of my legs, I would convert my Rocket to a trike. (I feel the need for speed...

Therapy has been going great on the shoulder. They started the strength training 1 1/2 weeks early. I took my bike out a week ago Sunday (being cautious), to see how it feels. My short run went great! Yesterday my wife and I went out for 1 1/2 hours. Therapist has started to 'amp up' the weights, resistance, and adding more exercises to do. I have also decided to go into bowling league this coming fall as a 'south paw' bowler, give my right shoulder a chance to get built up. For anybody who would have to go through surgery, I highly recommend the therapy. I also have had a couple visits with a massage therapist, who know how to loosen up tight muscles and relax sore ones. The last time she found a muscle buried in the arm pit area that relates to the rotator cuff that was tighter than the others. It is not pleasant for her to put pressure on that muscle, but it was loosened up immediately.

...good riding fellas...

Welcome TDUNCOMB ! Sounds like your recovery is going well !

On any given day there is usually a post where someone is complaining about the design of the rocket, and theirs is falling apart etc. But who designed these bodies we have to live in ? After reading this thread and the problems I'm having with my own, all I can say is what a POS ! I say we start a class action lawsuit. Now, who can we sue..........

Fark that was fast, good on you!!! I just came from the doctor myself... surgery is definitely happening for me.. he is doing 5 procedures in one... 4 weeks of work, 3 months of pt, 3-6 months before 100%... I am holding out as long as I can before going under the knife...

Even though the Doctor and physical therapist are done with me, I must still continue my own therapy routine and weight lifting to regain my previous strength... in moderation, of course. I've also had three sessions with a message therapist to help loosen and balance the shoulder and back muscles with the weight lifting and resistance training. I believe the combination of Physical Therapy, Message Therapy, and my chiropractor have all contributed to my speedy recovery. I hope you have competent people you trust to help you with your journey in this, too.
