No... its not diploma time. Does anyone know where to buy quality sheepskin to put on your seat to help fight monkeybutt? Can you use fake sheepskin or should it be the real thing? When we were on our ride last weekend the fellow on the BMW sport bike was just dying of monkeybutt, he was in real agony. At one stretch we went an hour and a half without stopping... I was in pretty good shape but I think it could be better with a sheepskin. I see many people use them.

Try this link Tomo: http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Aerostich-Sheepskin-Saddle-Pads-p-16998.html for sheepskin.

Have you considered the Aqua-aire? Dollar for dollar I challenge anyone to come up with a seat, cushion, whatever that does what the aqua-aire did for 39.90 US. Here is their website: http://www.aqua-aire.com/

I was able to log about 130miles on the aqua-aire cushion two weeks ago.
The cushion is black and disappears once you plant your arse on same. Normally I can go about 30 miles before the butt bones start hurting and about 50 miles before they go numb. I just don't have any padding back there guys! Anyway I didn't start feeling any discomfort at all until about 100 miles and it was very minor. I alternate between the aqua-aire and stock seat to try and confuse my butt. It really helps to alternate. I just pack it away in my beetle bags as it folds easily.

No I don't work for aqua-aire. At 39.90 US I doubt they can afford any kick backs to me.

WARNING: Do not take pressure off of cushion while at speed. It will probably fly off. I plan on coming up with a way to fasten it under the seat. I think aqua-aire is missing a golden opportunity not customizing these cushions for different applications. They are one size fits all but fortunately they fit well on cruiser seats.

Great link Tomo. It's funny, the best one(airhawk) doesn't even attach to the seat and it's pretty pricey. I'm still happy with my aqua-aire and it will get used as a stadium seat as well. I just wish they made a few different shapes to accommodate various seat designs and were attachable to the seat. Someone needs to come up with a sheepskin/air cushion like the author suggested.:)

I know it is a replacement seat and not a cover but from what I understand nothing comes close to a seat made by these people....http://www.day-long.com.

Also, "I have a big butt and I will not lie....." ummm....I have the Triumph gel seat and I can go a heck of a long time without dying....not sure what that says about me or my rear!:D

I have the Corbin Young Guns seat, and I love it! Some people think Corbins are too firm, but I think it's like sleeping on a firm mattress, it keeps you from waking up with a hurting back or getting off your bike with a sore ass!:D

Hey Tommo... Australia and New Zealand are famous for their sheep... We also have one or two manufacturers that produce excellent quality sheepskin covers for bike seats. Try 'SheepyHollow'. I have had a full skin cover on my BMW and found it very comfortable!! Try www.sheepyhollow.com or http://goodwool.com.au/
