Sheepskin....

JCWhitney Gel-Pad XL

A JCWhitney Gel-pad with stimulated sheep skin, made by Sadleman's, is about 3/4" thick. It doesn't add any noticeable height increase while in the saddle. It is just a tad squirmy when taken from warm indoor temps. but seems to stabilize rather quickly during these cool weather rides. That may be the result of the plastic film isolating the gel from the sheep skin. The gel is otherwise quite tacky. The film will easily peel off and I may do just that if the squirmy action persists this summer. The cover is washable. Retaining the plasitc film on the gel would make reinstallation of the cover easier I'm sure. The price was affordable; more so than several other sources for what appear/sound to be the same product.
