The Corbin fast gun seat is a inch or 2 lower than a stock seat.
And FAR more comfortable
If the Cobin guy told you that the seat is 2" lower he is telling you porky pies, the seat is about the same as a stock seat, you can ask corbin to scoop some of the seat out but no way in hell will you get it lowerd 2".(I own one)

I also own one and i can tell you i know how far i need too tip toe compared from std too corbin
Definate difference
Did you ask Corbin to slim line the seat or scoop some padding out of it? according to the Corbin web site the seat is the same height. I asked them to lower my fastgun and they lowerd it by about3/4" :?

What time is it down under? When I send my seat back to get recoverd(do not know when) I will ask Corbin if they can remove some of the width, the rocket seats are wide which spreads your legs and makes the bike seem to sit higher. I do not know if it is possible but I will ask them. I also like the hard seats the soft seats kill my back. :)

Another cheaper & easier option would be to change the rear tire to a lower profile. :)

Changing the profile of rear tyre lowers the ass end and makes the bike scrape more than it does already

rchappydayz,

Mine is a 2007 with a 880 metzeler 240/50 and I'm heading to the darkside in about another 1000 miles. I'm a scraper as well but just the acorns and they are cheap to replace. Next Tuesday the TORS and bi-pass are going on. Do you have any info on guys scraping pipes after dropping the back :?:
