Seat Release cable problems

It's too tech for me to do on my own!!!!

Its not too bad .

They are no good on the shelf , or in your underwear drawer .

If you want to sell them I will buy them , I will send you the K and N that even you could fit

Some of the R3 owners have had problems with the bracket alignment with the classic seat, I am hoping I do not have trouble lining it up when I put the new seat on.

seat probs

I had a similar issue with my triumph adventurer and the same issue with the rocket.

I have found that if you turn the key and use your free hand, making a fist and hammering the seat with a good whack right where latch pin is located it pops loose every time.

With the seat padding and all your not going to hurt anything, including your hand. Seems to work every time for me. Not the most scientific approach, but it works. (Fonzy method)

I can't complain to the dealer or anyone else on this one. I have the corbin dual tourer and have installed my own latch pin so that I can use the stock setup instead of corbin's "erector set hardware kit".

I do exactly the same as dunringill to get the seat off.

I fitted the under tank K&N a couple of weeks ago but haven't really noticed a difference - except for the huge storage space where the old filter used to be!

Oh, and remember to blank off the opening into the air box where the old ducting attached or all your stowed stuff might get wet when washing the bike.

There is also a breather pipe connected to the airbox from your crankcase.

If you overfill with oil, anything in there will get a good douse of motor oil.
