I was considering an XDiavel S, which I have ridden on a group demo ride.
I have to give the GT a test when available.
I suspect Triumph cost of ownership will be a lot less than the Duc.
Forward controls on the GT but no floor boards? No rider back rest listed either! Cruise control will be nice for the long trips. The luggage is ugly to me and not as big as I need for my long trips. Sure I can rethink my packing but the R3T upgrade was what I was hoping for, not a sport touring bike.
One thing that strikes me is the pillion positioning, a lot people who buy the Rocket may be a little older than the models they use for the videos. I know there is no way I will get my wife to bend her legs up that high and to be comfortable for any length of time. IMO they should just make them all single seaters until they get an honest Touring model. Then again, maybe they are aiming at people who will become lifelong Triumph riders and need to start them younger so their customer base doesn't die off.
