Ride
r3 roadster. 2012
my roadster is now 3 1/2 weeks old. i received an email from triumph regarding my purchase.
one of the queries is 'would i recommend triumph to family and friends'

cons: 1)the designers and builders were obviously drunken baboons. side by side bolts; same threads size, same length but different heads. 2) handlebar attach points were loose. 3)seat split at the seam on the first day. 4) the wiring harness to the headlights is (was) wrapped around itself. 5)very poor fit and finish. 6)few after market parts.
pros: 1) 3 weeks in the rainy seattle winter and i am already almost 700 miles in. i am only getting about 30mpg because this bike is fun. i am a like a kid again. not overly speeding (wink wink), but what a kick. i find myself looking for reasons to throttle on (that truck is leaning into my lane, better scoot out of here!). 2)the bike turns heads. several times i have parked it to return and find a few looky lews. standard question seems to be 'what the hell is that?'. 3) handles very well for an 800 lbs bike. surprised myself how easy it is to scrape the foot pegs.

i put yes. i would recommend it. several caveats, but to me riding is about the journey. since i have to go to work, might as well make it fun.

Been riding all my life , not found a bike that ticks as many boxes as the Rocket does. It's not perfect (whatever that actually means) and I don't want it to be ..to be honest. Mates just sold his CBR Honda because " it's boring , just keeps going ..always the same, never changes" All I know is I love riding my Rocket more than any other bike I've ever owned .. and that'll do me

I haven't been riding that long but I'm on bike number 6. It didn't matter what I had I was always looking for something more, until now. IMHO the only thing that could replace my Rocket, is another Rocket.
