Ride
2009 Rocket Touring
Today was my last ride on the Rocket until spring and it was a nice one. The weather was perfect and the ride along the water couldn't have been better. I brought the Rocket and my sidecar rig into the garage from the shop afterward where they will stay until spring when I'm all healed and ready to ride again. The old truck went into the shop where a friend will install a new Edelbrock intake manifold and 600CFM 4 barrel carb.

I ran both down to less than a quarter of a tank and will fill them with non-ethanol, and run each for about five minutes to get the pure gas through the lines and throttle bodies. I'll also do the BMW that will stay in the shop with the truck.

This is the first time in my life I've ever had to do this and it left me feeling a little sad that I won't be able to ride for six months or more.

The first knee replacement will be this month followed by the second in about 90 days if all goes well.

I've got a nice heavy duty Triumph cover for the Rocket that I'll put on to protect it from falling soup cans from my wife's shelves. Oh well.

We'll do our best to keep you distracted, Mike.
When I bust my arm - what with the complications of Sudecks etc - I was almost 6 months away from the handlebars. Time flies in front of a log fire in winter.

Good luck with surgery hope it goes well.Just think about all the fun you will have when your taking them back out the garage:thumbsup:

Hi Mike, the surgery is relatively quick so you'll be out in no time! By spring time next year you will be joining the the new born Lamb's frollicking in the fields...;):):)
