Steph, my lady, has made some valid points in "if you hit a rock and come off and hurt yourself youll be back in hospital..youre not 54!...youre 74!'
She's talking about the Tiger obviously.
So the decision to sell the Rocket and buy a small 4wd was made...i'll keep the Tiger as its a very capable bike with heaps of nice bits on it...pleasure to ride too....lighter...good on gas..tyres etc.

Congrats on retiring from Rockets Tal. I'm glad you know your limits. The Tiger is a great bike and very capable. I am seeing the signs of aging and the day is coming when my Rocket will be to big/heavy for me. Enjoying it while I still can. Truth is I really enjoy my 900 Tiger and 1200 MG Griso.

This is a depressing thread. I’m 63 and I had a sore toe a week ago. Ten years from now I might be singing the same song as Tal. I just don’t think the TFC feels heavy at all. Actually about a year ago I started feeling a little less than Superman.

In less than a month I'll be 79, still enjoy twisting the throttle.

I had my Touring out a couple days ago, as long as my balance stays OK, the weight isn't really an issue, it's when you get off balance that troubles start.
