Owned my Rocket since the start of may and dammn this bike draws the old guys like a penthouse pet. A lot of them say i didnt know they still made Triumphs, i said to the guy "by the thousands". One guy probably in his 70's just came up walked around the bike with a cheshire cat grin on his face and then got in his car and left. Was going into the entrance to Yellowstone park and suddenly i was surrounded by bikes, looked over and every tank said TRIUMPH, very cool. I gave the guy next to me a thumbs up and he yells YEAh. Was going through Redlodge and they were building up to a big harley ralley this weekend, did the main strip and every biker there was rubbernecking to see the rocket. I'm going to customize this bike how i like it and then ride it for a log while, keep up the good work Triumph.:D

Did my first ride this weekend (picked up my 2012 R3 roadster Monday) and my biker friend told me to get ready for it to "steal the show". I was surprised by everyone's reaction. The closest dealer is only 60 miles away but I've not found the first person who has seen a rocket in person. It for sure got everyone's attention at the ride and on the square. Not sure if I'm used to the attention...but it does make me smile a little... LOL

Just got back from a 4 day ride with my son and everywhere, and I mean everywhere, we stopped, at least one person would come over and check out the bike. I stopped to pick up a map at one point, it took 2 minutes to walk in and make the purchase but over half an hour to get out of the parking lot:)
I think there are very few stock bikes on the road that get this kind of attention. I certainly didn't buy the bike for the attention but one of the reasons was to have something that not everyone else had.
Went to Port Dover on Friday 13th and they say there were close to 100,000 bikes there, I saw one other R3. I'm sure there wedre more, but I didn't see any. Love it.

pretty cool huh?
nobody ever looks at all the 20-30 thousand dollar harleys I usually ride with,
but EVERYBODY wants to look at the Rocket.
be 50 harleys sittin' around, polished to perfection,
and they'll pass them by to come see 1 dirty well ridden Rocket.
The ugliest bike on 3 Rocket sites BTW.;)

Ugly is good

I was at a Harley rally last weekend and met up with some old buddies again, all very good people, not all Harley riders are tossers. :) Several have already bought Rockets and even more are looking to buy at some time in the future - Rockets may not be as rarely seen as they used to be.

every time I happen to go down town "The Mistress" draws them in like flowers draw the bees, even as you ride people look to see what this big bike that doesn't sound like a hardly but sound good comes rumbling along:cool: I just Smile:)
