Rocket 111 GearBox

Hi all
Apologies in advance for starting a new thread
I have a Rocket 111 Classic 2005
My gear change stopped working 18months ago riding back from Ireland to Wales, stuck in 5th from the Ferry terminal to home
It's not the detention spring as it's still in place, thinking it's the bolt from the gear change actuator I've pulled the engine out, plplanning to open it up this weekend. Any advice as to what to look for? 2nd gear etc

Welcome to the Nuthouse.....Sorry your gearbox has suffered....more than a few have found this problem,,,they'll be along shortly....

It will be that bolt. Factory put the thread lock on the wrong part of the thread.

That silly little bolt. Do some research on splitting the cases. You'll need the special tool for removing the stator. I've got the tool, and an engine with the loose/missing bolt. Just haven't got into it yet. A whole lot of work, for one silly bolt!

I'm just at the point of removing the gears from the dogs. Taking my time, bought the spare's I need plus some upgrades, nearly died at the final bill. Found the nut in the case, no obvious damage as yet

I have to ask since I am just seeing this post. But what nut did you find and where was it located. I didn't see a picture of it.

Oh ok I was curious as I didn't see anything about the shifter being floppy. I might have missed it because I've been out of play for a while
