Hey I,m new here.If this is already posted somewhere I apologize.
I will be picking up a new R3 Roadster soon and have a question about seat comfort.
Most of my previous bikes ( Hondas) have had Mustang seats which I have found to be excellent top quality and very comfortable seats.
I emailed Mustang and they said they do not make them for Rocket 3 Roadsters.
Ultimate seats also said no dice.
Am I left now with only Corbins?
Are there any other choices?

They might not know that a Roadster is a Rocket III. Ask them again but leave out the Roadster name.
I can recommend the Young Guns Corbin, I like the seat position and quality. But when they say it will take 5,000 miles to break in ... they mean it. Corbins are very, very firm seats ... but very good for long rides. I hated the seat when I first got it, loved the way it looked but it was hard as a rock. But I switched it back and forth with the gell and stock seats for awhile and it grew on me. It's not a good passenger seat, but that was solved with a Butty-Buddy for the wife. I've got around 9,000 miles on the seat now and It's all I use anymore, sold the gell because it just wasn't comfortable on long rides ... made my ars hot and stinging after an hour. The Corbin stays firm, cool and keeps my butt from going to sleep.
You really just have to try things out, but if you try a Corbin ... give it a chance to grow on you and break in.

Frank, do you find the stock roadster seat to be comfortable for long rides?
Maybe I have nothing to worry about then.
If i do need to modify my seat then I will just send it to that spencer guy, thanks for the info King of fleece.

Stck seat for 2010 Roadster

I have a stock 2010 Roadster seat with 5000km on it and it is surprisingly comfortable. I was expecting to change the seat right away after I got to ride it a bit and stayed with it. This is coming from soneone that has always changed the original seat to a Corbin or other.

6500miles on my Roadster now and the seat is perfect for me, 400miles in a day no probs. i'd prefer the footpegs a few inches further back though, I usually ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs. (I'm 5-11) Wife happy on the standard pillion for 250miles too. (with tall backrest)
Try it first!

Solo Seat

Looking for a solo seat for my 2007 Rocket III, former Classic. Currently have seat

with backrest for rider, would like to have that on solo seat as well, BAAAAAAD back.

Did 900 miles on the weekend and never had a problem. it's thicker than the R3 Standard by 1 inch. Not true of the pillon for the wife. I had to get her the Butt Buddy.
