Rivco ignition kit connectors wrong....

I just attempted to install the ignition switch relocation kit from Rivco. All was well until I went to plug in the extension harness. Problem is the connectors on the Rivco piece are different than what my 2005 Rocket has. Apparently when I had the "upgrade kit" installed last fall, a redesigned ignition switch connector was spliced in by the mechanic, so the Rivco connectors no longer work. I have contacted the Triumph dealer I bought the Rivco kit from, and sent an e-mail to Rivco, but I suspect it's going to be my problem to fix with a soldering iron. Just a warning to all....

I don't there is any such redesigned splice job that is handed out by Triumph. I think there's a whole new harness but if you've got splices than I'd take it back to the dealer.

Can't fault Rivco for that, as much as I'd like to.

I've got an 05 and have had the upgrade done but my Rivco harness fit just fine.

If you get that sorted out; you may want to hit the Rivco pins with solder. I've had a couple of their wires pull out.

There is an upgrade to the ignition wiring harness from Triumph that is part of the great, "Upgrade kit" I case you didn't realize it, the wires on the Rivco kit are all white, and to make matters worse, the wires on the harness side are different than the wires on the ignition switch side.
