Hi,

FastEddie from Canada. Bought my Roadster last week, and love it. The people at r3... say their risers do not fit the Roadster, and thoughts?

The horn on my bike is simply too wimpy for the bike, need a more MANLY horn.

cheers,

FastEddie

I was also looking to fit them to my Roadster. They would bolt on ok with the only problem I see is the very short length of the brake line. On the Roadster the brake line goes in behind the steering head to the abs unit and has very little extra length.
Other than that they would bolt straight on.

See now I knew there had to be some silly little reason they "don't work" on a Roaster since they are just Standards with duals, less chrome, moved pegs and ABS. It's the same Zebra but with black stripes rather than white.

Maybe it would be as easy as using a brake line from another model for a little extra length. The Rivco risers work very well on Standards and Classics since they don't have the extra rubber isolators the Touring models do. I believe you would be happy with them, the small extra cost of a brake line may be well worth it.

Wimpy horn

Agree, the stock horn is embarassing! I heard the horns on the GL1800 (gold wing). Now THOSE are horns! Now I just need to figure out how to put a pair on my rocket

IMDave, just search stebel right here on this site for lots of options on installing a real horn. Some swap with a car horn, but I'm gonna try the eastern beaver relay first. Hey, if it works for the headlights.....
