ok, here are your 2 best options in my opinion. powder coat for long term easiest maintenance or

use autosol! have tried lots and lots of polishes including mothers, meguiars ad a host of others. autosol, is the best. use a polish wheel in drill, the finish by hand. apply to coats of wax and sit back and smile..... until you ride in the rain a few times.

the waxing is the secret to get them to stay polished for a good few weeks.

I've used this shineseal and it is brilliant. It isn't a wax but if you don't want to use this and stick with a normal wax I had used meguiars in the past. Forget exactly what it was but came in a metal tub. I think they only have 1 wax in a tub.

Wax aside the shineseal stuff does work, Ive used it on window framing and balcony artworks and I am currently developing a commercial version of this that we will coat all of our external metal building parts to reduce body corporate maintenance.

As far as wheels go, this is the ducks nuts if you want to keep a shine.

no probs. the shine seal stuff is particularly good if you live close to salt water.
where about you get Shine Seal haven't seen it round here living 500metres from the beach is a pain when it comes to keeping a shine on the wheels

Well apparently my wheels aren't clear coated after all. This is the toolbox cleaner which can be bought at Lowes. I've got the Diamond White stuff around here somewhere. This toolbox cleaner is old so a fresher batch will probably work better.
