Rev limit???

Unfortunately I have not used the read map function yet, my usb to micro usb adapter has come off the end of my tuneecu cable so I need to buy another before I can proceed. I did however try a slow acceleration in 2nd gear today on the way to work. It went up to about 83-85mph before I upshifted. Clearly it's not a rev limit (didn't believe it was). I'll have to double check the map once I get my new adapter.

bring up the revs lowly would put the fuel filter under less pressure but just in case the last map I gave you is a Tad rich I have sent a slightly leaner version I have just tweaked for you, I do get concerned when you have the restrictive stock headers with a free flowing muffler I would suggest you look into get some Viking (@Paul Bryant) or CES Headers to mate to your Dain muffler, the whole system will work more efficiently

I looked into both the carpenter exhaust and the Viking headers. My apprehension with the Viking was that it is known to suppress the Dain muffler sound. (Which I really don't want) I do really like the look of the CES sidewinder headers, but did not know it was available without the megaphone muffler. I'llumar have to contact CES and see if I can buy just the header. I do still worry though, that part of what makes Dain's exhaust sound is the airflow, and any free flow header will limit the sound output.

And just for anyone who asks, the extra volume is about increasing my road presence, not to be obnoxious. My HIDs, LEDs with brake mode, exhaust, upgraded headlights, and extra reflectors are all to increase my presence on the road.

Well, the new tune didn't change anything, which now that I think about it, I encountered this problem after a new tune from Hans.O that went from too rich to slightly leaner. Being that the tune was made leaner when the problem presented itself, I doubt the problem is that the tune is too rich.

That being said, I had my doubts that the tune would be the source of the problem as I wouldn't imagine it would trigger the neutral light.

Here is a short clip I just recorded. I did a quick acceleration 3 times, each time in 2nd gear. You can hear when the acceleration falls off, as during acceleration the engine suddenly revs up. Now that I am trying to deliberately recreate the issue, I got it to trigger as low as about 40-45mph in 2nd gear.

just make it clear CES is not the maker of the Carpenter Sidewinder, CES is an Aussie system which I run myself and I know Trev does make a header only option below is the full system but he will/does make a header with outlet matching standard header outlet OD

Just so it is clear I have NO financial interest in either company but For my money CES (Trev makes High Performance systems for all sorts of Cars including racecars and Bikes) or Viking Exhaust (without a doubt the best finnished system out there Paul is an Artist) would be my pick for unmodded or lightly modded motor

Ah, I looked at the CES system and the carpenter sidewinder and thought they were being made by the same company. I'll have to look into the CES header, though I didn't find any Triumph parts on their website. Do they run a separate site for moto parts?

really sounds like a electrical gremlin if t has the Neutral Light coming on, I would be checking Gear Position Sensor and Speed Sensors which brings me back to the connection plugs which are ones under the Left Side plastic infill at the rear of motor.
I would be checking them and cleaning with CO2 electrical cleaner spray and then applying Dielectric Grease

For me...headers need to have less bends and curves than the stock headers to make a difference....could be wrong tho...i have been wrong once b4...

Looks like you're slipping out of gear under throttle..?
