Replacing handlebar control levers

Just got a new set of ASV unbreakable levers from motomummy.com (great service by btw) and was wondering how complicated it is to switch them out. I think the clutch is probably pretty straight forward, but I was kind of wondering you had to break the seal of the brake fluid to replace the brake lever. Any suggestions?
 
It is actually easier to swap the brake over the clutch. Just undo the bolt that hold the lever, swap levers, and put the bolt back in.

Edit: I just noticed you have a roadster, so if it’s the same as a standard Rocket then you’re good, if not then no idea
 
levers are easy to replace. clutch is the harder one (if you want to call it that) because you need to loosen the clutch cable to remove the lever & then adjust it once the new one is on. You won't pop the seal for the brake . Just have to align and push the plunger in while you align bolt hole.

Did you go with the short or long levers? Once you get them on, post a pic please.

I went with the long levers all black. I have been in the process of either powdercoating or replacing everything that isn't already black on the bike since I picked it up. I don't know why Triumph can't just have an all black bike without trying to slap random pieces of chrome on everywhere. Had the same issue with my Speedmaster. I hate chrome by the way. I like my bike to look like Darth Vader rode it!

Anyway, I will post a pick as soon as I get them on. It's at the dealer at the moment and they're trying to figure out why the heated grips keep shorting out. Have had them replaced 3 times since I bought it in December, sounds like another Triumph service bulletin on the way.
 
Finally got my bike from the dealer for this weekend and was able to install the new levers. Alot easier than what I thought, thanks again for the advise. I have took some pics with my iPhone but can't seem to paste them in here. Any thoughts?

Anyway, these levers are incredibly smooth and I'm loving'em.
 
Pretty easy, and straight forward. Just remove the bolt on the brake side. On the clutch side loosen the clutch adjustment at frame area. Then loosen clutch adjustment at handle bars. It is all straight forward from there.
Get use to doing this yourself when lubing clutch cable, and levers. Take a little attention cleaning the clutch sensor pin in the lever mount. Dead bugs, and road trash get in there from time to time which restrict the pin from sliding out.
I have came acrossed three other triumph riders freaking out that their bike would not start, and starting to tear the bike down. Till I suggested the common clutch pin issue.
 
Does anyone know if these or any other after market levers will also fit the 2013 Roadster...? All the sites I visit state only up to 2012.

I dropped mine the other day and broke the Clutch lever. I got an OEM replacement but would prefer something unbreakable or one that will fold when dropped.

I installed the ASV levers on my 2013 Roadster this weekend just in time for Dragon Raid later this week.... There is no technical difference between the 2013 and 2012 or earlier models. Even the dealerships I called were confused and did not know if even some of the stock models were the same.

I went to the local dealer and they had two different part numbers for the 2013 Roadster levers depending on the VIN number. When I did a comparison the only difference between the two was that one was slightly thinner in the lever profile. Otherwise everything was identical. With this knowledge I went ahead and ordered the new ASV levers.

It amazes me that the after market vendors don't update their site and fitment charts sooner. I looked a 5 or 6 different ones on-line and none said they would fit the 2013 Roadster ever though they are identical to previous years.

This is why I also start with this forum...
