Removing wheels

I'll try and find time to take some measurements and drawings over the next day or two...

if I don't someone please PM me to remind me (am a bit busy at the mo)

from the measurements you can just extend the height and length of lever and Bob's yer uncle (as it were so they say)

remember to PM me though, cos I am dissapearin up my own arse at the mo

Remove wheels

Thanks for all of the tips! But here is another question. Can you take a bike lift (similar to what you woud use to jack up a Harley) and insert under the engine to jack up the entire bike? I would but wood between the jack and the engine. I would also strap the bike so it couldnt's fall over.

Any one tried this before? Can you support the bike from the motor?

Bob

I raised the back of my bike with a motorcycle jack under the motor to install my rear shocks. I watched my Triumph mechanic change a front tire by raising the bike with a motorcycle jack under the motor. I've not seen my bike with both wheels off at the same time.

I lift mine of the floor with my lift .
Under the engine and frame lugs

Gravel has gone now , well moved any way , pile is now at bottom of garden

Its a womens list , constantly changing and growing .

Have to fit biking in around it

all these tips about removing 1 wheel at a time are very good,

but,

they don't help you when you need 2 tyres replaced and it's cheaper by over £70 to get them done on loose wheels rather than drive in drive out.

I got both replaced on loose wheels for £230, cheapest drive in drive out option woulda been £300 or maybe more
