Reband pipe install help please!!!

Coating on Bike.jpg

Back to Reband pipes you bunch of Fuglies.

Could not wait to Xmas as the spotting was giving me the ****es. Removed the spotting and whacked on this VHT Ceramic Extractor Paint from Repco. Came up better than it was before. The curing process on the Bike is not too bad. Probably blister off on the first good fang around the block!!

Must drop Ric an email to let him know my original coating lasted about a month.

Now my input on fitting pipes I have not found one yet that fits perfect and I beleieve its because of the tolerance used in building the bikes. One designs a pipe on a specific bike and the next one off the line is a wee bit different although it meets the builders tolerance let alone the exhaust builders tolerance. I used to tell my Machinist Aprenteces that tolereances add up to one big ferk up. and the only way to build things was if it had a plus or minus .010" on the dimension just hit it in the middle. Tolerances is the difference between the maximum and minimum dimension which adds up to be one big difference the more parts the more difference. As for heat shield well from what I seen most builders think of them after the pipes have been built and do not seem to put as much effort in them as the pipes. I must add that Sams predator pipe have great heat shields which I have found to match no others.. it realy to bad he does not match the reband/carpenter pipes with his heat shields as you could not get a better combination.n If only them two builders would make heat shields with the quality that Sam put into the predator heat shields or at least the error of predators I got from Sam. That being said I am glad I found a source to build shield for my header and now I only have to wory about the megaphone. Which I notice both Reband and Carpenter chose a megapnone for their pipe!!!!!
Musr be something to that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
