Anyone have a Reband exhaust on their R3? They sent me a dynograph showing 36hp gain over stock R3 carried out by Lush . The bike also had a remap and modified filtration.
I guess you could get the same with the Jards but the look of the jards has never thrilled me

Zim if it was done by Nev then you can count on it being done right. Let me interject a suggestion. Horse power is not everything what really matters is how do you wnat your bike to look and perform. Like you said you can get the same from the Jardines but you do not like the looks of them. So I say go with what you want even if its a little less power its more important to have something you truly like.

Thanks warp.I figured if they were using Neville lush's name it would be good. They have also offered the name of a local tuner that Lush recommends, but its probably the same guy I have been using, whom I'm quite happy with.

I am not placing Neville name with any exhaust He can give his own opinions. AllI am saying is when it comes to knowing what performs on a Rocket and how to set it up to what the owner want he has quite a lot of experience. My real point to you was make the bike like you want it no matter what the hp is. That is what matters. Like I did with Gracie she is not much more then stock maybe like a tripple set up I do not know as I have to get her tuned. But I do know I like her and thats good enough for me. If I want fast I always have the Falcon. Gracie is more for the wifey and me to tour on yet when I am by myself I can as Gman said rider like the hooligan bagger she is !!!!!

Two people I know of have the Reband system - Gra on this board, and Ponters on t'other..... look for "Ponters Exhaust" thread on dot.net. There are prolly others.

I believe that Nev had a fair bit of input into the design process with the system, and Ric at Reband does the build.

Don't forget Duncan Pyper on the technology site has a set to Ruzzle I think there getting around more then people know.
I cannot wait to see what Arto aka R3Rturbo is doing to his. I have sent him various parts from both Carpenter and Burns stainless exhaust. Might even try a set for one of mine just for something elas to do A if I don't have enough projects to do as it is. You know how the honey do list grows

Hi Zim, pics of my reband exhaust and dynograph. I went for the Reband after seeing Ponters, by this time Ric had the carbon fibre heat shield and chrome flanges. I went over with Ruzz, it was a remove secondaries, K&N's, exhaust and off to Nevilles for a valve clearance check, tune and dyno. In the "real world", a heap of difference - the most obvious is a lot smoother at low speed ie u turns and roundabouts, and more than happy with how responsive the bike is. I'd definitely do the same again, ie go over to SA and have the exhaust fitted and then to Nev's, worth taking the time to do it and you'll be smiling all the way back. (Tho Ponters had his bike sent over for his exhaust and tune) As Warp said it's subjective as to what appeals re exhaust - I personally like the look of the Reband, however the Jardines look more balanced having pipes both sides, the Jardines are noisy compared to the Reband which have a "note" in comparison.

Also have to agree with Warp here, it's important to have something you truly like - and I agree with his good taste in colour, the GPS, the bags which allow you to do some touring etc

This is my way of doing things also, but I wanted to be reasonably sure I was not getting something that would be hugely sacrificial to my HP/torque which is quite satisfactory as it is. I was also after the 3 into 1 set up.
My jards are looking a little worse for wear with some corrosion and a few scratches,so its time for a change.
I f Lush has someone over here he can recommend 'it will save me a 4000klm round trip to SA.
Now I have to make decision on which filtration set up I will use.
