Rear shocks

I called a lot of shock rebuilders. They all said the same thing. If we could get parts from Progressive they could do it. However Progressive won't sell parts.
As a matter of interest, has anyone tried taking a Progressive shock apart and measuring the seals needed for a rebuild? I’m pretty sure those seals will be commercially available. Also the only thing that could scupper the idea, would be if the chrome piston rod was badly pitted.
I'm jealous, Karen won't ride anymore. One of the reasons I sold the Rocket, that was the only one she'd ride.
I’m 68 and T’Wife is 76, she still rides on the back.

Ok. So 1 shock is still good. What weight is your spring and what is your eye to eye length ?

They are stock length with the heavy duty springs. I'll have to measure the eye to eye length. I'll do that tomorrow and post it up. Thanks Bill !

I thought most modern shocks had nitrogen under pressure in them. May not be safe to open up ?
