Yes Julie and I will be riding to the funeral of a close mate on Monday. He passed away 8am Tuesday in his sleep at home surrounded by family after an 11 month fight with cancer. He would have been 53 on Wednesday. Vale Gregory (Peck) Paul Turnbull.
 
Clive , my mates been punching on with his cancer for a long time. Was wandering around the swapmeet up at Laidley with him just a few weeks ago .. he'd had a gutful of treatments and hospitals. Glad that he's over with it all to be honest.
 
The big C is a cruel bastard i see people going thru the Chemo and have to wonder if the treatment isn't worse than the Cancer itself.

Sorry for you loss guys at east you know your mates are no longer suffering
 
Looks like my plans for RDU next year are a bit easier, my eldest daughters husband is in the airforce and they have been posted to Canberra. Should be gone from Williamtown and settled early next year so will be visiting Canberra regularly.

Come on .. it's truck driving .. not as if you guys are micro surgeons or anything ..hahahha. Just know that my best mate was killed 25 years ago .. he'd always wanted to buy a couple of big dirters and go check out PNG. I was too obsessed with making money to find the time .. no reason we couldn't have done that trip. I've lived with that regret ever since he was killed. Like I said nowadays I do what i'm able to do .. but that's just my take on it I know mate.
