Doesn't the R3T have the clock built in to the instrument cluster on the tank and the Roadster have it built into the instruments on the bars?
That's right, but I think where he said "clocks" he meant gauges (instrument cluster)

As you know the R3T does not have a tach and the Roadster does, so either you'll have to rewire to accommodate the tach, or have one that doesn't work. But, you'll be rewiring anyway since the R3T has that single plug into the instrument housing that will need to be replaced. A disclaimer, I know nothing about the wiring on other models, maybe that's not necessary, but I suspect they have separate connections to the individual gauges. And finally, do you really like the look of the top of the R3T tank with the instrument pod removed?
