R3 vs VRod?

Got a guy by me that has a turbo vrod. Its pretty **** quick, but the turbo lag and small boost gap does not give him enough to beat my rocket. All i got is exhaust, PCIII, GiPro, secondaries removed, and triple K&ns.

That's about a $5000 savings.

I have only had a chance to run with a few but have smoked them all. When I first got my R3, I was pulling out of our neighborhood and came in behind a S/E V-Rod. Smoked him with my near stock bike. I guess the lighting storm tank and fenders he added weren't enough.

Rocket vs Anything

I recently met at a light with a group of sport bikes: a GSX R, Honda CBR RR, and Kawasaki Ninja 1000. They all revved their engines at me. This was a rare opportunity... Of course I went for it. I revved in return and when the light turned green, it was on!
All four of us took off at full throttle. With a little skill, I took the lead immediately and had all three of them in my rearview until we hit highway speed. At this point, I felt I had proved my bike superior, so I let off, and they all sped past, trying to make up for their loss by doing wheelies. I later passed the three of them pulled over with flashing blue lights close behind.
I'm stock by the way.
What a horrible night for them, crushed and defeated...

As far as I'm concerned, whoever is leading at 100mph is the winner.

My brother has a V-rod muscle and its almost as quick as the rocket but not quite. It cant live with the rocket on the road as it has very little ground clearance.

Race

I raced a 07 gsxr 600 and 04 gsxr 750 in a quarter mile and smoked both of them I have triple k/ns ,secondaries removed,jardine exhaust,powertripp tune!!!loving my rocket!!

I have found that there are a lot of factors that come into play when running another bike. Mostly weight, lol My son has an 08 V-rod that has been tweeked and runs very good. When he and I would hook up it was always a dead heat, but. I weigh 320 and he weighs 220 and I have a Corbin fairing that catches a lot of wind also. I keep telling him to get some little 100 lb girl and put her on the back and lets race then but he never would obviously.
I finally had my bike dialed in on a dyno last yr and once this was done, I walk away from him and his bad V-Rod. The dyno not only found 4 more horses but what it done more than anything was give me a very crisp throttle response. Now when you twist it, you better be hanging on or it will leave your ass in the street or bring the front tire over on top of ya.
He is now threating to sell the V-Rod and buy one of the new Ducati Devail's just so he can out run this old 06 Rocket.
His twin brother was riding my Rocket a couple of week ends ago when his ass got to hurting him on his Yamaha Raider. So I switched with him for 100 miles to give him a break. He grabbed the prettiest 2nd gear wheelie on the Rocket that you would ever want to see and wasn't even trying. He said dad, this ol bike is one of the ugliest bike I have ever seen but it sure does run. I guess I'll have to keep the ol girl.
