I really appreciate all the comments.
This was my first and last Michelin Commander II. True, honest to God mileage was 4406 miles from my home in Seattle-Tacoma, WA to Corinth, AL. The right half was totally bald and the left was not far behind. The mechanic at the huge Honda-Yamaha shop was amazed how thin the carcass was. I have had the tire shipped to where I purchased it and shall await their inspection report.

An interesting side note:
This morning I called the Triumph dealer in Ringgold, GA. Told them I was a traveling 2012 Roadster (on warranty) owner/rider from WA state and I desperately needed a front tire. The guy said he was to busy to talk right then; but, would call me back when he could. After nearly an hour of toe tapping, he did call me back and told me he couldn't get a front tire for my Roadster until tomorrow. I said I would gimp it in the 220 miles from Corinth, AL and grab a room there for the night. He then told me he was too busy to put the tire on for me the next day. I was astonished and asked if I heard him correctly. He replied that I had indeed heard him correctly with an attitude that told me "tough ****".

Anyone else know of this dealership? I'd be interested in any comments.
I settled for a bias ply Dunlop D404 140/80X17. It is at least 130 mph (H) rated.
Sooooooo I shall see . . .
So far the big ride is a gas and I am enjoying the south. Colorado and Arkansas rocked for the twisties and beauty! Can't wait until next year on CO.
Sorry for the windbag response - Guess I be missing you guys. :D

Best Regards,
