I'm looking at a Roadster to purchase. The original owner put some Pypes (m80) on it. They are made for auto use. No change was made to the tune.

Would running these pipes without tuning potentially hurt the motor? I dont like them and would change them out for something else, but don't want to purchase a potential problem.

If they help the engine breathe easier it will be running leaner and hotter, but how much is anyone's guess.
As soon as you change the exhaust or air intake it will need some adjustment.
I have a set of jards on my bike and you could feel the heat drop after it was properly tuned as well as more power and less popping on deacceleration

Yup, if it's breathing easier, you need to tune it.... & if you're gonna do that, may as well go get proper pipes suited for the job.
