Also the Wilbers are built to the customers requirements of weight and riding style . I am not sure about the others but think that they are off the shelf items with a choice of springs only .

Ive had them on my bike for 6 months now , and have been awesome to say the least .

Gold plated , hmmmmm sounds good to me

I agree that any shock would be better than the standard , but was just raising a point that any shock bought off the shelf would still be a compromise of some sorts , if you are really light a standard spring on the progressives may still be too firm , or visa versa , the wilbers are handmade with the adjustments , of which there are plenty , to suit yourself and give you the range of adjustments to cover your types of riding , and the same with the spring .
But this makes the shock cost more initially .

I have never used progressives at all so I can not judge them at all .
But each to there own , wether choice by looks , price or availability , we are all different , some more than others .

I also know several people who love the standard shocks , so go figure . :?

I've got 12'' progressives on mine and it fixed the rear

suspension for sure.Around corners the rear end felt

like it was squawshy and following the bike around,

almost like a flat tire, in a way.Now it is nice and tight like

it should have been from the start.I dont know about

the other shocks, but for 429.00 I'd say the progressives

are the way to go.[/img]
