I've put the new progressives on and they certinally make a big difference. Most notably is handling. It sits on the road a lot better and there is no/a lot less wollowing etc when cornering. I had to make a few adjustments with the handbrake (wife) on the back but she reckons I was riding too fast, I think it was the improved handling.
The true test will be when I'm on my own, but I'm very happy so far
