I am in need of a rear tire and in looking through different sites I have come up with Parts 411 as the best price so far(avon) 234.91 plus 20.00 shipping anyone else know of any cheaper not counting darkside
Thanks Dave aka Bigfoot

FYI on the Avon, someone here reported them to not handling as well on wet roads.

I paid $220 for my Metz at the dealership in Lynnwood last time but it retails for $280. Hopefully they'll give me the same deal. I need a new one. It has some tread left but I went into a real cool slide while pulling out onto the road yesterday. The rear tire broke loose and the rear end slide around across the double yellow line. I almost went down. I have almost 9K on it but it is time for a new one I suppose. I'll stay with the Metz.

If you are coming my way anytime soon, I have a Metz with less than 3,000 miles on it sitting in my garage just looking all lonely!

Unfortunately the dealers up here are refusing to mount a tire not purchased at the dealership. They say it is for liability purposes.

This is where we go to get our tires. They ship to us, we bring to dealer for fitting. Good luck

METZELER ME880 150/80VR-17 FRONT at $144.90 and METZELER ME880 240/50VR-16 REAR at $192.38.

Lizz, about what are they charging for shipping the rear? That tire weighs a pretty good amount.

Marcus, if you are reading this thread, did your buddy in the club ever get that tire changer?
