Popping and sputtering

Just so you understand a TPS is just a reostat like a dimmer switch and if one of the windings or contact points become worn it affects the voltage which then sends the wrong signal to the ECU

Re the fuel thing (Stripes) I have lots of problms with EFI bikes now as they are getting years/miles on them. The best product I have found so far is genuine Toyota Petrol injector cleaner. It's about $15 a bottle and one bottle will do your bike maybe 3 times. Once or twice a year put some in the tank and it keeps the injectors etc clean. Its worth a shot Steel.

I cleaned the sensor under the bike, drained the fuel, and it's still acting up.
I will see about getting the FI cleaner from Toyota though. I'm sure it will prevent problems down the road.
Looks like I need brake pads too.

I only found out that it was my TPS by twisting the throttle while watching the voltage in TuneECU with engine running I bought it up to the problem region and the voltage started jumping up and down all over the place. At normal engine off set up the TPS was reading all good
@Steel try the above

Looks like the TPS. Dealer said it should be covered by warranty. Triumph should let the dealer know by this afternoon, and ship the part.

Now I have to wait. A couple of friends are riding the Moonshiner 28 From Walhalla SC through NC and through TN across the Dragon. Roughly 1750 miles in 60 hours, if we keep the schedule they planned.

This will be the second time this year that I have to borrow a Harley because my R3 is in the shop. I like the power this bike puts out, but reliability is piss poor, and service is painfully slow.

I know where there's a Touring you could borrow. The wheelies kinda suck, but she went from DFW to NYC in 36 hrs so she should have no trouble with a short trip to NC.

I had a very similar problem it was a BaD coil pack. Ran good at high rpm missed around 2000 and under.
