Picture worth veiwing

That is exactly right, I have only never met one Truckie that didnt ride a bike except one that was because he lost a brother to a tintop while riding and he witnessed it, couldn't get back on after that but still a good bloke, also found that most Tuckies will give a nod even had one last year that warned me (flashed his lights and pointed up to the left while I was going past him at 140kmh on the Hume-adrone Hwy) of a copper hiding up on top of a cutting up the road, he would no doubt have been warned by CB radio
CB? You right there Rubber Duck? CB moved aside in the late 70's for UHF radio in Australia mate. And all that back door rubber duck good buddy don't happen over here we just talk on them like human beings. Don' know about America though.

Well, Bruce, after all you must consider that according to @cr0ft we are indeed the land of the self righteous conservative oppressors. However just as in Finland, some of us 'Mericans like to talk $hit!

Apologies to @cr0ft; I couldn't resist the opportunity!

That's alright Bruce i know all the lingo is no longer used but I was under the impression that the UHF radios were still called CB's sorry my bad I have 80ch UHF set in the Cruiser and leave it on ch 40 and listen to the truckies warning each other about speed traps and other hazards all the time about the only lingo I still hear them use nowadays is "copy" or "you got a copy (insert name)"

You have brought forth a good point that has made me curious.
What approximate percent of OZ truckers run in cab video while they operate?
A good idea, I would reckon!
The idea of cameras in trucks is growing .i know several of my mates that have them in there trucks .one of the drivers was on a tv program about a year ago .this particular driver is a bit over the top when it comes every thing being perfect.we actually thought he was going to embarrass us but it presented quite well.when it comes to the police and insurance companies they normally side with any other person involved in a situation with a truck so cameras are becomming more popular with truck drivers

I run a camera in my 4X4 cos of all the ***wits that got there licence from a cornflakes packet and or texting, if I can I usually give them a spray of choice language too - makes me feel better:whitstling:

So Mittzy - you run your camera with no sound! RIGHT??? :D
Me thinks this is a GREAT idea for professional drivers who care about their driving record. In fact, the truck owners should pay for them!
