I remember when the new R3s came out, there was a mixed bag of responses. I now have one and appreciate the refinements, but I still like my Roadster.
So, yeah, I like gas and oil, but I'll bet that thing has some massive torque. This is all coming no matter what- we accept change or we get out of the way.

Seem to remember reading that it has a potential torque output around 500 kw. and will have to be restricted for road release. (Triumph are good at that tho!)

As a comparison, a good supercharged and developed previous-model Rocket can do about half of that figure.

25 years from now 95% of the people that ride Electricycles will have never ridden a gas powered Motorcycle. They will have never changed gears, down shifted, listen to the exhaust tone through out the rpm range. What they will have is a one speed torque monster with an engine brake. I doubt the Electricycles will be popular for sport or cruising as I feel the limited 'riding experience' will get old or routine after a short time. They will be used for going to work and for track days for 1/4 runs by the younger crowd. They won't miss what they never knew.

Very True. You can't miss what you don't know or have never experienced... such is progress...
