pcv is out

Yes. I could do with the unit if it works or the tuneboy set up. But cant get the tuneboy one so we will just have to see how it goes.

if you have the autotune option then why are you going to dyno tune it?
dyno tune it and send the auto tune back, or autotune it and save your money by skipping the dyno.

Because I won a free Dyno tune session in a raffle. Plus I want too.

Not bad especially if you have a base dyno run to compare the difference in HP after applying the auto tune. It must deploy a wide band A/F sensor so it can control the whole rpm range. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

this is wrong information. the pcv by itself cannot self tune. there are add on modules that you can use which can self tune, but without the add on of self tune, the pcv will not self tune. check fuelmoto's site, google it and you'll get a great explanation as to how the power commanders work and the available options.

well thats good for you but im just sayin..... why buy the auto tune add on if ur gonna dyno tune it?
not raggin on ya, but you wont need the auto tune unless you plan on changing your mods or riding in drastic elevation changes.
ur money.

Well if the PCV doesn't self adjust without a dyno for optimum performance then what the heck was the wait and all the hype about? The whole idea behind the new design was to keep the O2 sensor and allow it to optimize fuel settings to coincide with add ons like exhaust and intake rather than downloading a canned "best match" or creating a custom dyno tune with Power Commander dyno equipment.

WTF? over.

Now I'm just disillusioned and depressed ... I think I'll eat worms.

PCV doe snot have auto tune persay it is a fancy version of the PC3usb and the multiport hub all rolled up into one and it is smaller in size then the PC3 it has extra functions on it like a 5 volt input to run various thing like a boost map, dual map capability and individual maps per gear. It aslo will except the auto tune sold buy power commander which is supposed to automatically make changes in fuel paramters with in pre programed limits. Auto tune will not work with the PC3 USB units. with auto tune you can also. You can just buy the pCV and with a compitant tuner dyno the bike and make the changes in A/F just like PC3 it just a wee bit fancier.

no need for depression.....
as discussed, the auto tune feature is used with a wideband o2. its great for folks who like to tinker with mods or who dont have access to a tuner or dyno.
i hear the auto tune hasnt been used much on bikes yet but thats changing. i also hear the auto tune add on is very popular with the shifter kart racers.
generally if you have a good tuner and a dyno it is recommended you go that route anyway.
i have the pc5 for mine but i have a great tuner so no need for the auto tune.
hopefully everything should be done in abt a week with my bike.
