Hi fellow users of the PCV + AT, I have for the last week or so been translating Wayne Tripps AFR table (that he uses in most of his tunes).
If you have compared the table set up between the Tunecu and PCV AFR tables you might have noticed that the increments are different so I have been marking the common gridpoints and now have what I believe to be the closest you will get to one of Wayne Tripp tunes using your PCV + AT, just came back from a test run about 120klm and after running it through the gears and a bit of cruiseing in that distance I can honestly say.....Holly Crapping Duck Sh1t !!!!!!
The girl went well some basic AFR's I had set up before but now..... words can't describe how well she went. A while back Mitch sent me his AFR table out of his Dyno tuned PCV equipped bike and I thought it was alright but now....:D:D:D;)

Send me a PM with E-mail and I'll send you the table that is if you have a PCV +AT

P.S. Wayne Tripp For those of you who are not famillar with him has created almost all the really Good Tunes that are available to the TuneECU users out there. His tunes generally give the best Response and Power yet give the best fuel economy while cruising.
You might say why not just use one of them but the problem is no two bikes are the same so you would need to find a Good Dyno operater or put up with the comprmises as I did, that when I decided to go for the PCV +AT so it is like a dyno every time you ride

Gday Hanso.
I'm still trying to get my head around the pro's and cons of PCV compared to a TuneECU map that I'm already running.

Haven't really heard much about the Auto tuner till this past few weeks so that confused my thoughts more as well.

I was of the belief that PCV + AT would modify what ever tune you were running (within reason) to pretty close to a Dyno tune without putting it on a dyno.

If that was the case, then why did you have to modify your tune to gain performance??? Isn't that what the AT does??

WHen You get a dyno done with a PCV the PCV follows its own AFR set on a Dyno by the operator as Mitch had done. The info on your TuneECU map is what used but trimed by the dyno operator using the AFRs he set it up with, I was amazed how basic the AFR Mitches Tune had, it still relied on the TuneECU map to a very large degree.
I had my bike on a dyno just to get a AFR reading a little while ago and the operator said that basicily it was a very good tune just to lean for my set up (mods) that got me thinking about the PCV with the AT witch would correct its leaness, All very good but it follows its own AFRs So I loaded Mitches AFR's which was Good but being a Fussy Prick that I am, felt It could be better so I did a few changes along the line (roughly) of what Wayne uses in his AFR tables in the TuneECU tunes So I have been translating/ transposing his common Table into a Zero PCV table and this the result. Where the AT comes in is it now takes the info in the Canned TuneECU Wayne Tripp tune and trimms it to virtually the same AFR's as He originally created on another bike. You have to remember that the Canned tunes are made on another bike NOT YOURS the AT will act as if you were on a dyno and correct the fueling as you ride:D

To put it another way is that If you were to run the zero map in Your PCV with or with out the AT you would have absolutly no change to the TuneECU map the PCV has to have an AFR table loaded to either helpthe dynotune operator OR the AT correct the fueling to suit the indivdual bike and the AFR table they supply are only very basic nothing exciting what I have is table that repilcates Waynes original AFR table so it give the better result.... Believe me when I tested it this morning I was not expecting as large an improvement as I recieved, this is why I thought I should share it... even with the Black bike owners:D

I had the same reaction after Wayne had mine on the dyno. There was as much increase in power as I got when I put in the Nev cams. I agree.....It is worth the trip to Power Tripps. I am over 1000 miles away and I will probably go back over there after I get the blower installed.

the way I see it, as it is impossible to get my bike to Wayne the next best I could do was to give the PVC+AT the awesome Mr Tripps AFR table to work from and I think I have suceeded, there is absolutly no lag no hesitation just seemless power no matter what I do, I opened the throttle quickly (not snapped) at around 2,000rpm in 3rd gear and the front was trying to lift. Yeah I am impressed:)

Power-Tripp

Yep! I agree. I had the same reaction the first time I rode mine after Wayne got a'holt to mine. Wayne is a master at unleashing power from R3 beasts. Mine "skates" the front wheel in second and third. The front wheel hasn't come up yet (much) in second or third because the rear wheel breaks loose in second and some of third. I'm certain it would raise the front wheel if I were two up but I don't know anybody that would want to experience that with me.:D

I agree Hanso it impressed me too.. anyone wanna give me rear wheel flying lessons :D

So you'd recommend it then... Haha maybe one of these is in my future after all. The more and more I hear about the PCV + At the more I want to get it

Seriously Yes!
It's easy to hook up
Good Quality
Technoligy works
Dyno while you ride
Hell what more do you need.. Its maybe not a professional hands on Dyno, But
all you have to do is learn a little about Map File loading and thats easy once you've done it once. :D
I'm not on commission so I'm just being honest
